Message from the President

The 2010 swim season has been a hot one so far and we are excited about the upcoming4^th of July celebration!  Volunteers are needed to work one of our many stations: tickets/admission, beer booth and grill.  In appreciation for you work, adult volunteers may reserve two chairs that day at 11:00 A.M.

Bill Kusel has resigned as the manager of the swim club effective July 3, 2010.  We appreciate Bill for his willingness to stay long enough to complete the training and transition to the new managers.  Effective July 4^th, Pat Jeanerette will be pool manager and Steve Grimm the assistant manager.  We thank Bill for his many years of dedication and service to the swim club.  We wish Bill the best as he leaves for his new mission –depleting the lakes of fish near his new home in Columbus!

July 4^th Celebration

This day begins with our annual parade which will form at the corner of Bach Drive and Kennesaw Drive at 11:30 A.M.  The parade will depart at 11:45 and arrive at the pool by noon.  All kids(big and small) are encouraged to participate.  Decorate your “ride” with anything that will show your patriotism!  The festivities at the swim club will begin  at 12 noon and continue until 6:00 P.M.          ( refreshments will be served until 5:00 P.M.) Friends are welcome to attend the celebration for the normal  guest fees.

Family Swim Night

            Saturday, July, 10^th from 9:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. bring the family for two extra hours of swimming.

Dive-In Movie

Saturday, July 17^th, bring your floats to watch a family movie(to be determined) on our big screen!  The movie will begin at 9:15 P.M.

Ladies Day at the Pool

Ladies,(18 years and older) check out the fun on Friday, August 6^th from 12:00 noon to 4:00 P.M.!  This is one of the best attended events of the year!  The day will include lots of great food, frozen margaritas, as well as basket raffles and door prizes.  Bring a non-member friend for just $4.00.  We ask that each lady bring a dish to share( in a non-breakable container) that day, along with your appetite for food and fun!

Ice Cream Social

On Sunday, August 8^th, at 7:00 P.M.  we will provide ice cream with all the toppings.  Enjoy  this cool treat as much as you like!

Men’s Night at the Pool

On Friday,  August 13^th, from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. the guys(18 years and older) get to have a night of fun and relaxation.  Food and beverages will be served.  Play cards and socialize with male members.  You may bring a non- member male friend for just $4.00.
